Hello all

If the Emissions sticker on a 1983 UrQ that was manufactured in 1982 says that it "Conforms to USEPA regulations" applicable to that model year...."CATALYST APPROVED FOR IMPORT" and does not specifically state that it is "California smog compliant", is it considered a "49-state" smog compliant car?

Did car manufacturers have to do that back then?

If it is not CA smog compliant, would any of you know what I must do to accomplish this?

Thank you

If the car is a 49 state car, it does not have to be changed to make it CA compliant car. My coupe is from MA and I just tell them when going for smog that it is a 49 state car.
