I have a 2001 a4 1.8t, i want a double din dvd/navi installed on my car. Any suggestions? Right now it looks like the pioneer avic-z2 is the front runner.

Im going with the Kenwood DNX7100. Dosent have the built in hard drive, but it does have a USB connection, which I will use with a portable hard drive or thumb drive. Also $800 cheaper than the pioneer.

Also, most dash kits wont match the OE dash too well, I'll be painting mine to get a closer texture match.

Oh, forgot one more thing. pioneer units with built in navi do not let you watch a dvd or video source when the car is moving. They use the GPS antenna to sence vehicle movement. (versus a wire that is normally connected to the e-brake) Of course when installing ANY video unit in view of the driver, it supposed to be de-activated when the car is moving, but we all know no one hooks them up that way.

how are you going to put a double din unit in, without losing the stock climate control center?
