So im still on the shacky side in regards to ordering H&R springs for my 08 a4.
I was told from H&R directly that they havent confirmed that the springs used for the 05-07 audi a4 will work on the new 08's. This pissed me off because im getting my new wheels on this weekend.. and i cant have wheels until the car is slammed. I'm sure alot of you feel my pain...
I know some of you mentioned that the 05-08's are all the same.. but has anyone installed the springs on an 08 audi yet?? Need a confirmantion please.. thanks!!

to my knowledge the chassis of the 07' and 08' are identical and I know for a fact my coilovers are compatible with all B6's as well as the B7. I am sure they will work. Unless audi changed their suspension design for 08' which is EXTREMELY unlikely.
You should be good to go with those Springs.

The only reason i think they are telling you that is because they may think the 08 is a new style of car (b8). or they just havent checked it themselves and dont want to look bad if for any reason it doesnt fit. but like joe said it'd be EXTREMELY rare to change something like that on a later model b7.

I installed a the same springs I have on my '06 (not mine but he ordered the same ones I have, Eibach) and he has an '08. Perfect fit. Get your hands dirty!!!!

The h&r springs for the B7 05-07 will work with the 08. I know a guy who already has them on his 08.

I'd say that's it. That's a good thing. More companies needs to be like that, but of course they should also get on the stick and get a test fitment in.

Just out of curiosity, how does a company do a test fitment, doubt Audi will let companies just borrow one to test. Doubt a company wants to pay 30k+ per year model to test coilovers/springs on a car with a new year label. I would think they do more simulations using body specifications such as weight, weight distribution, design of stock suspension, etc.
I think H&R just haven't matched 2008 suspension part numbers to 2005.5-2007 suspension parts yet [;)] and customer service doesn't see the 2008 on their computer screen yet.
What do you think?

They say...hey, you have a 2008 Audi A4. How about we give you these springs for 50% off and you let us make sure they fit on your car. Win-win for both parties and they still probably make money on the springs. Companies do "testing" like that all the time. That's one way that people get some products before the rest of the world does.
