does anyone know if that vag will work on the halogen headlights, or if not doens anyone know a hardwire way to get rid of it? i need to get teh amber out, it ruins the look of my 8000 k hid's

yes it does...i did the same thing before i retrofitted the bi-xenons

i think you want to recode module 9 to ###02, but check the faq section to be sure that's what you want.

Yes, That is correct. With the driving lights on or with the headlights on the amber signal indicators remain off. When you switch on the turn signal they flash on/off as if the headlights switch were in the off position. It's a quick and easy mod and I think it cleans up the front end of our cars without having to remove the bumper and jack up you lights just to remove the amber signal lens.

I had this done too. One of my most favorite mods - cleans up the front when lights are on, no disassembling required, and it was FREE! Even when you just drive around with the parking lights on, only the DRL's are on - no amber light.

So what does *Bonus 1* do? Don't we already have a dashboard headlight indicator? (I have bi-xenons also) If we don't have a headlight indicator then I never noticed. I need to find someone with a VAG, my buddy has an old one and I talked him into trading up and I will split the difference, he is just slow....

i noticed when i did this mod that the dashboard headlight indicator doesn't show up when your lights are on, inputting the bonus 1 numbers makes it pop back up

How is the beam pattern? I also have the halogen housings on my car and don't want to pay the money for the bi-xenon housings. Do you lights still have a crisp cutoff in the beam pattern like the stock halogens do?

It disables the amber running lights while the headlights are on. they still work perfectly when you use your turn signal indicators, they just aren't illuminated all the time. notice in the picture below the headlights are on, but the ambers are not.

Mine did not need them.

Just unplug one of your lights and see if the bulb out light turns on, if this does not happen you don't need them.

I have Bi-xenons.

I tried all the country codes.

I get a fault code for all different country codes other than USA. The rear signal indicators will not work on any other setting other than USA. When I do change it I get a fast signal on all other lights and the rears do not work.

What can I do to fix this?
