I finally decided after all the research and reading up on other people's experiences, to start with the modding to my car. My first thing was the chip, I went with APR because of their sale they had going (two programs installed for $599 + tax cnd) I went with stock, 91oct and also forked the extra 170 for 93 oct. program. What was cool about this, is that with 3 programs, you get all the rest.....so I also go 100octane, security lock out, and some other mumbo jumbo that I havent read up on. So that was all 6 programs for $876.00 tax in.....not bad!

I was a bit nervous about driving it out of the lot after it was chipped, maybe I was expecting too much from it, I was going to get all hyped up and then the change was going to be minimal. It is extremely demoralizing spending close to $1k in upgrades and feeling absolutely nothing different on your ride, makes it hard to rationalize the drop in cash. The tech left it on 91octane for me when he was done....and my first impression I got pulling out of the parking lot was "wow, this is alright....i can actually feel the difference in my car's power". I only had a 1/4 tank of Gas left, so I went to fill up...but this time with 94 Octane.[cool]

Just like a good movie, I don’t want to spoil the ending.....but if you havent done this, GO DO IT! Best money I could have spent so far. The difference between 91 to 93 is AMAZING! [hail] I can only imagine what 100 will be lol.

Next week the full APR Exhaust comes in and gets installed - apparently tahts where the fun begins. Will keep ya guys updated.

damn that's a lot of money! but...$599+$170 = $769..? once the car gets used to the new tuning and fuel delivery, it'll feel even better.

Congrats!!!!
I got mine done on Wed. this week and it's definitely money well spent.
I also opted for "pay for 2 programs and get all" and ended up paying $748 plus tax (total of $809).
Michael Klenner at Ingolstadt West (http://www.ingolstadtwest.com/) in Canoga Park (So. Cal) did mine and it was a very pleasant experience at the shop.
also got to meet Mike Roony and he is such a nice person to deal with.
I was going to start a group buy before getting mine done, but couldn't wait and had mine done right away.
if you live in So. Cal and would like to get a great deal on APR chip, do it now....the sale ends on Oct. 1 and you can get it at even lower prices if you have 10 people signed up as a group buy. [up][up][up]

Haha. I remember when I could say that and it meant something.

RS.Fez - I got the same thing you got on Saturday and paid the same thing in US dollars. Changing programs with the cruise control stalk is cool as hell. The extra power is lovely [drive].

Congrats... this will sound ridiculous but you will actually notice the car is much faster either tonight or tomorrow morning. As you turn the car on and off the computer adjusts and essentially learns about its new power. Sounds like BS but you'll see [:D] Go get the APR test pipe...

Very true -- usually took my car a good 50 miles or so when changing between programs for the ECU to fully adjust.

I can't wait to get chipped, the promotion going on now is very appealing but I decided to lower it first....I hate the SUV look. I'm hoping to get the PSS9 sometime this week and get them installed soon.

winter is just around the corner so next year I will do 19"RS4 reps and get chipped.

Can't wait!

Yeah, you doubled the value of your dollar in about five years, or maybe we halved the value of ours over that period. Either way I can't wait to get mine chipped too. I don't think you are gonna be as happy with your new exhaust as you are with your chip as far as power increases, but it will definitely look better and probably sound better too.

All you need now is the TP and you'll be on your way.
