help something happend and my oil pan has a gash in it! My car is missin the skid plate (wheres the cheapest place 2 get one?) and so i guess something hit the oil pan and damaged it, and now oil literally runs out. Where is the cheapest place to get an oilpan and how and what is involved in changing it? Any help is appreciated.

Is this on a 1.8T? It's gonna cost you the subframe needs to be lowered to swap pans. Plan on spending $600-$1000.

600-1000? maybe paying someone else to do it

ECS sells replacement skid plates

to do the oil pan it can kinda be a pain, i just swapped oil pumps and its not too fun, but also not too hard

i found that if you completely remove the drivers side motor mount you can slide the oil pan to the right and itll squeeze a lot easier under the oil pump and you can then pull it forward and out

Well I think your in luck compared to the 1.8T guys. I believe you can change the pan without dropping the subframe. I would try www.purems.com they don't list the pan on their site but they can get it for you if you call. As far as the belly pan. It wouldn't have saved your pan anyway. I would get a Passat W8 belly pan it's cheaper and heavier duty and bolts right up.

Doesn't Matter They only made the W8 for a few years. Do a search and you'll find the part number.
