When have you guys had to replace these tires and what are your driving styles?
The reason I ask is I have a 36 month 12k/year lease and am curious as to whether I'll have to replace these or if they'll last me through my lease. If i know they'll be cooked for sure, I wont think twice about abusing them and will get a new set sooner instead of returning my car to the dealer with fresh rubber on it.
Thanks guys.

they have high treadwear... which is unusal for a Pirelli.. traditionally a soft tire.

Pirelli P6 Tire has thread wear of 400, each 100 can last about 7500 miles. So it should last you up to 30,000 miles in theory

And thats probably under optimal conditions, right?
So it sounds like i'll be replacing them at some point regardless of how nicely i treat them. That was kind of the answer i was hoping for [drive][race].

i'v got almost 27k and probably get another 7-10k on them. Also i don't know if it's just me or did anyone notice dry rot cause there seem's to be alot a cracks in between the tread on my tires.

Yes, so drive as hard as you like, and have fun with your car.

What I plan on doing (only have 2500 miles) is get a set of v-rated or possibly a set of 18's with some decent tires (I don't have to pay for mounting). Then I'll save the factory P6's for lease turn in. The way I see it get new tires now and enjoy them. I can so feel the sidewalls buckle under spirited driving especially after the suspension upgrade.

I thought about doing just that but realized they'll hurt me for mounting/balancing and I'll be doing it twice instead of once. It might be worth it for the extra 100 bucks though. Kinda wish i still worked at the tire shop and had access to a lift and tire machine for a second.
