View Full Version : Are bulb-out warnings that bad?

I replaced all my interior lights with LEDs (no bulb out warning) and put in Silverstar halogens - I'm going to replace the city lights and rear liscence plate lights with white LEDs as well.

The thing is, I don't want to deal with load resistors, etc. (I have no idea what they are and don't want to cut any wires) to prevent the bulb-out warning lights from going on.

My question is, are the warnings really that bad / annoying?
Anything else I should be aware of? (IE: LEDs blowing from surge w/o load resistor, etc.)

I've been with that warning for over a month now because I'm without foglights. doing the s6 led mod soon.

It would annoy the shit out of me that's all I know.

Isn't it just a small light/icon?

That's always in my field of view when driving? I'm aleady annoyed enough by the god damn "PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG OFF" light.

I'm just picky like that, it probably won't bother you that much. This is the same icon that comes on when your outside lights go out too right? Might be nice to have your car let you know before getting a ticket. Why the hell does the icon need to come on for blown interior bulbs anyway?
