I was thinking about getting high flow cats or some sort of custom y-pipe made up. I duno I cant seem to find a exhaust diagram for the 2.8 anywhere. Definetly get it chipped check out technine tuning.

ive seen high flow cats but 2 of them would be over 500 and that seems like alot of money. would they be worth it?

I think the 2.8 original cats are real hard to get to so that would cost big to replace. Magnaflow cats are like ~$100 a piece.

you don't need intake (unless you love the sound). and chip is good if you are looking for smoother and better ride. not a stronger ride. IF you are tip-tronic you might want to check out the tip-chip which i think is useless but some people here think they're good.

you always have the last option which is: Save money and go PES G2.

IMO a tip-chip is a must if you have a tip. I just installed mine a little over a week ago, and the car feels a lot stronger and feels like it has more torque; which is what you want if you're running an automatic.

Intake, (ebay one works fine for me), one piece headlights or s4 headlights, lower, rims, lightweight flywheel, stage 2 clutch

check out PES tunings chips. they are supposed to produce more power than GIAC. My advice would be a chip and rear sway bar. High flow cats and a new clutch setup are just not worth it in a stock car. You will actually lose torque down low with high flow cats. Exhaust isnt really worth the cash unless you just want the sound.

Intake, chip, pulleys, fan kit, and some exhaust work. Will be more than fast enough to get a ticket lolz

This is what I got in my car:

Tubing I had to custom make, but the car feels so much stronger in the whole rev range.

I was looking into chips but decided to spend my money on the suspension instead......lovin the Koni coilovers though.

Wasn't there a huge thread about 2.8's? I was just looking for it, but couldn't find it...

Although I think GIAC just lowered the price of the chip to $250....AWE has it for $300 though

2.8s still do work ha. For intake i'd go ebay, and throw out the filter and put on a K&N.

for chips, check out AWE tuning, they have GIAC chips which seems like a very reputable brand.

Your exhaust probably sounds pretty nice, as for high flow cats, they arent over 500$, in fact i think the exhaust shop near me sells em for 90$. Gotta be careful though , they sometimes make you throw a CEL.

Post up some pics anyhow. always good to see more 2.8 love ;)

Oh yea, and get a short shifter kit, You will love it. B&M replica on ebay works great and is <50$ shipped.

Well for starters i had my car debadged, tinted, installed lip spoiler and did clear cornor mod. Then went for SpeedTunning chip. Felt alot of difference in my 2.8 after the chip.
Hope this helps...
