windshield scratches - any fixes?

does anyone know if there are any fixes to a lightly scratched windshield?

i took a trip out of town where i had a masssive amount of bugs stuck to the windshield. Long story short, i thought it would be a good idea to use one of these to remove the bugs of the glass...

....they are extremely light and can only be seen at certain angles...but in OCD and it pisses me off. [=(]


Go ahead and flame away...but when u guys are done, can someone let me know if you know how to fix it? [wrench]

Go to a jeweler and find out what they use to remove scratches from watch faces or do a google search for something of that nature. You could also call a local windshield or glass repair shop and ask them what they recommend. I'm sure its gonna require some sort of special sanding with high grit sand paper or special high grit sand paper probably above 900 grit.

Let us know how that works for you. I am really interested since I put scratches in my windshield with a snow brush last winter.
