I have the forge dv and bov spacer and i'm chipped with GIAC. I think i only hear the dv sound and not the bov sound. does anyone know what could be wrong? also how did you guys keep the nipple cap thing on the manifold for the dv install. Mine has popped off twice already!!!

First of all a DV and BOV serve the same function. The difference is the DV recirculates air back into the motor while the BOV releases air in to the atmosphere. If you are running a DV with the forge spacer you will hear a BOV like sound coming from your DV. When you are running an intake you hear the sound of the turbo more because the air/sound is less restricted. So... as I take it the spacer will simply provide a way to increase the sound of the DV by provding... well space.

Did you install the o-ring that comes with the Dv to use with the spacer.

Did you use the metal clap for the nipple ?

i didn't recieve the metal clamps that they were supposed to give but i used my own metal clamp. I dont think i put any o-ring between the spacer and dv... would that have made a difference?

Yes, both are very important and necessary

i didn't recieve an o-ring either.. i thought that the o-ring was only for the adjustable bov

You also need it for the regular spacer

would that make the sound different? and where can i get that?

The Forge diverter spacer doesn't make the high pitched "PEW!" noise like you would get with a BOV. It's just a "pfft" noise, like air coming out of a tire or something. Also, if that tube keeps slipping off, put a zip tie on it to keep it in place.

it barely even makes that sound. it just makes the intake sound. zip ties are too weak. i put a metal clamp thing on it

dude just take it to a sport tuning shop, ask a tech to either drive with you or take it for a drive and see if it's working properly. Otherwise just ask the tech to take a look and see if the install was done correctly.

Also, it doesn't work right probably because you didn't use the o-ring like everyone has said to do. Just read carefully above and you'll find an answer.

zip tie it, as per instructions.
