What are the lease experts opinions of the new special lease rates on the 08 A4 Quattro? Take a look at the offer for yourself's.
http://www.audiusa.com/audi/us/en2/special_offers/Special_Offers_A4_quattro_.html

2008 A4 2.0T quattro
$379 per month
36-month lease*
---------------------------------------------------
Down payment $1,999
Security deposit $400
Acquisition fee $575
First month payment $379
---------------------------------------------------
Amount due at lease inception $3,353.00
Purchase option at lease end for $20,625.00
based on $34,375.00 MSRP of 2008 A4 quattro 2.0, CVT Premium Package, heated front seats, and destination charge.

I'd probably go with a Triptonic or even Manual again, which I'm sure wouldn't be too much of a problem.

Anyone care to give their 2 cents?

I wouldn't look at the numbers thrown at you by AFS, its too easy to hide things in there that you'll never know about.

Use the money factor, residual, and selling price to determine your lease, don't let them do it for you.

I know that the B7's always have fantastic money factors and dealers are very willing to discount them. You can grab the latest rates at roadfly, theres a leasing guy who sponsors the finance forum, he posts all sorts of things that he shouldn't post :)

sucks. only for 10k miles a year and $2k downpayment sucks too.

I'd wait until November/December i'm sure there will be better deals.

All the money factor, gap cost, net cost crap, damn freakin confusing, I've been continually reading thru leaseguide.com, I think i'm just going to get that kit for 20 bucks to figure out my lease for me. Anyone ever use that? Or what type of money factor, or residual amount i should be looking for?

Ok i know money factor is at 0.00121.

I wish they would release the new "special" leases already... I am hoping and praying that they do the same lease they have done the last two years (0 down, $379 for 24 months)... otherwise I am gonna pay a ton more for the same car I drive now... Anyone heard of any other leases other than the one listed above?

The leaseguide kit is a $20 excel spreadsheet. Calculating a lease is pretty simple... The lease guy on roadfly gives the equation that you can use to calculate. Any "special" deals offered by AFS are "special" to the consumer, but "regular" to the dealer. Its not a "special" monthly rate. The "low" monthly rate is based on residual and money factor. Any "specials" may mean no security deposit required (with approved credit) which is equal to 1 month payment anyways.

You can compare the A4 to a 3-series. Car pricing is relatively similar but the lease price is off by hundreds of dollars. This is how Audi moves cars (notice I dont use the "sell" word). BMWFS has a lower residual and higher money factor than Audi.

I think we have a sales guy from penske who sponsors AZ, you might send him a PM for a good deal, im sure he'll take care of you :)

Only others are FWD or CVT specials, unless you work your own.

this is what i use to calculate leases - just plug in money factor and residual and it does all the work for you:

I want to talk to Veron directly, Juan Carlos at penske was talking with me at first, but he just kept coming back with price senarios still using the MSRP on the car, everytime i told him, I would never pay MSRP on a car, even if i only got 100 of or so, so he walks back to Verons office and comes back with some trade in deal, but the car was still at MSRP. Maybe Veron directly will be more willing to deal. I love penske and deal with Chris in service, had no problems, but every time i talk purchasing, no one gives any deals on A4's and no one wants to negotiate, I think Juan Carlos exact words were, on a white s-line, "well its a popular car." Yeah and so is a 335i but yet they have tons on the lot and are willing to deal on them. you can't tell me a fully loaded white s-line is that hard to come by, order another from AoA. But for service Penske is definitely #1, sales have yet to win me over.

thats how i figured their mod factor, at 2.9%. I use that but, that is only restating whats in the lease, I'm more concerned with getting the best deal, i don't care how it works, as long as i have a cheap payment, and at the end my car is fairly cheap if i want to buy it out.

I'm somewhat worried with the high buyout in the end, 2004 A4, granted being a different body style and all, are only selling trade in values at 16-18k, meaning i would be down about 2000 if i were to purchase it in the end.

If Penske isn't interested in giving you a good deal, you can try Pacific Audi (Trent) or Commonwealth (Cathy). I've leased A4's from both of them and they were both straight up with their answers. Realistically you only need their sell price, residual, money factor to make a decision. Paying MSRP for an A4 is pretty BS unless you got something that is rare and hard to find.

I would decide if you want to buy it before you make the lease decision. At the end of my prior lease, I bought the car for the purpose of selling... residual was lower than KBB value. So I made a few dollars and my buyer got a hell of a deal.

You can also skip the S-line package, its $3k+ which will add $100 to your monthly payment.. Get the sports package and buy the sline body parts later, there are always guys selling it on the forums. Get 17's and buy rims from me :)

Regular 2.0T 6-speed sports package should be fairly reasonable on the monthly payment.

That's what my optimum senario would be, sell it at the end to recoup another downpayment on the next lease. Basically i want to be at some point where i just trade monthly payments when the cars go back, get enough out of sale to cover the next.

Lol....if the 708 didn't lag to badly for my instant gratification i'd probably would of already had wheels from you guys, and then moved them to the next A4. went with b5 usp's, we'll talk when i have a B7 in the garage. I was just using the S-line example because i really want to stay with Audi, but i have a deal with BMW for a 335i at 5k down and roughly 400 a month for 29 mnths, nearly fully loaded, minus nav. 335i beats an A4 anyday, but i really love the concept of Audi's, AWD (quattro, specifically), Turbo, and Luxurious. BMW comes close but x-drive is no match to quattro i think.

Graham just call Jerry Loh at Penske and tell him Adam Wilder said he was the guy to talk to. He's 100% straight up no BS.

Go to edmunds.com and configure your car. Then use the search for best quote feature. I got competitive rates from about 5 different dealers. I then used that information tweaking the numbers and fed it back to the dealers about their competitors quotes. The dealers then went for a second round of quotes. I chose the best one then further negotiated & asked for Audi Care, I submitted my SS# for credit check. I went to the dealer and my car was waiting, no haggling. I was in and out in about 1 hour.

Just my two cents. The S Line also brings you money factor down 2% so consider that if you get the S Line

This isn't so anymore... it only brings it down 1% now... per my dealer at least...

These numbers change alot, and dealers further twist them.. you'll only find out by making a trip to the dealership..

Just a guess, but I'm guessing these lease deals won't be as rich/good as the last few years since the resale value won't be the same with a new model coming out in late '08.
