I think I remember he did it with a compressor. A good wetsanding and a few even coats should clean it up, unless that's the look he's going for.

I dont regret cause if it would have been a real s4, 90 % of the original parts would have been changed by now...

A gt25 kit goes for about 14000 canadian including clutch...

Why are there two different DV's? Ever think of heatshielding the inlet pipes?

So do you consider the car a S4 or A4? Just asking because most of the guys that have done the swap still consider it to be an A4 even though it is the engine that really made the S4 an S4 not an A4.

well that just tells everyone what you bought, not what you changed it too. Hell someone could put a S4 vin on a A4 1.8t and say it is a S4 because the VIN says so. But would that make it right?


Just no listing for A4 with 2.7tt engine on any site that has a pull down choice.[:p]

A4 + 2.0 + 034 tuning = 134 mph trap speed

Crazy fast ?

Wondering that too.. Guessing the car was originally a 2.8, so either 2.8 5spd or dished out the cash for the 6spd S4 tranny.

The 1.8t tranny would be nice though, quick quick gearing.

A smashed A6...

The trany is an 01 6 speeds with still the a4 2.8 5 speed shifter.

Confusing when someone borrows my car, reverse gear not beiing at the same place...

Hm 14000 for the turbo setup alone.

S4 drivetrain and trans (2.8 wont bolt)

S4 Knuckles, etc.

2.7T engine


Fun? Yes.

Expensive? Yes.

You must be doing something right, good job, not the route id encourage anyone to go, But that trap speed is impressive for the output (surprised numbers werent higher)

How do you figure a 2.8 wont bolt, but yet there are plenty of 1.8t's running around with S4 2.7 trans in their car?



Why would you be suprised his #'s weren't higher? He didn't say exactly how much power he is making and the fact that his car is most likely much heavier then my A4.

None of the other GT25 cars have trapped in the 130's "yet" either.

HPA is in Canada.

I'd like either the B6 A4 or B6 S4 6 speed manual. I've heard they both work but don't know what is needed to bolt one in.

i know Lucas is running a B6 S4 6spd and he claims that it is very strong. i wouldn't mind that swap at all..

of coarse, i would like to have a 24v VR6 in front of it [:)]

Well both carry a high price so you might have to sell a lung or kidney to get either.[:p]


Yes lucas is running the b6 S4 but is also making less power then I make, so its really hard to say how strong that b6 S4 trans really is.

correct, your friend would be wrong. Even a S4 guy showed that it was possible to put a 1.8 fwd trans on a 2.7tt.

Yeah I forgot about the #'s he put in the title but actually that isn't even all that high for a GT setup seeing that the K04's can make the same amount of power. Dave at eurocode put down 600+ whp with his gt setup and that was while untuned.

well none of the GT setups have really been pushed to their limits at the track. But I will let you know how one of them does after I get behind the wheel.

dont let Issam here you say that, he does live in canada(part time and actually not to far from the passat guy).

Whoes saying I maxed out the potential of gt 25's at 470 whp... It's not the turbo setup that is maxwed out here, it's the internals of the engine itself on 94 octane program.

Whe at the shop, have pushed the exact same setup in the nogaro car at close to 520 whp. Then, a rod let go... My car is a daily driver, the focus here is not to destroy my block in beeing a dyno queen. Whe backed up the timing a few degrees to be safe. The outpout of my car is about the sam from 23 psi all the way to 28 psi. Cause timing is backing big time... On 104 octane i dont have thi backing problem, but I dont want to be more agressive on timing.

Once I get tohose pauter rods, it will be different...

Yes but it was an horrible day cause my asr (ESP) cause the computer is from a 2001 esp equipped. I was reading wheelspin by th abs sensors afetr turbos spooled in first gear it was cutting big time.

It felt like the brakes were engaging...

My best time of the day with severe cutting and nose dumping was a 12,66 at 120mph

The exact same setup with is the shop car was trapping 128's
My car is even about 150 to 200 pounds lighter... Than the nogaro s4.

My proble is temporary fixed by unplugging my abs module. Mike at unitronis is working on a new version by cancelling the asr.

He his a footage of only 1 race at napierville. Never had a chance to go back with the new house... Might be able by the end of the season caus the car runs great at the moment.

Are the heads stock too? A set of heads from the 2.8 30v V6 will perk things up a bit.

Yes the complete block is stock. I've been reading on the 2.8 heads. Not fully decided yet but looking for it probably at the same time as my pauter rods this winter...

I know people are bashing at autospeed and vag case the gt25 are not running over 500 whp. It's not the turbo kit itself, it's the engine that is maxed out...

Where getting giant amount of torque from this engine, but torque is what kill an engine.

An other thin youre gonna see is people complaining about not seeing nice 1/4 miles runs. The next weak link wtih are torque monsters are the clutches.

Were 4 guy in the area of montreal with this kit and whe all heve clutch problems.
Funny... interesting.

Te only one that survived yet is the dual disc clutchmasters setup.

I dont think anyone said any K04's were making 470whp on pump, well I know I never said "pump" thats for sure.

Nobody said it. That's why I did. That is a lot of power on 94 octane. It looks like it has the potential for a lot more.
