This is probably a dumb question, but how important is it to bleed the brakes after I change the front rotors and pads?

it isn't. at work we only bleed the brakes if we change a caliper

no need is true, but its a good idea to bleed the brakes a few times a year, if not once a year. Brake fluid has the tendency to absorb moisture in the air, and when your brakes get hot that water will "boil" and cause the brake pedal to be mushy..

I do mine before every HPDE but im also anal when it comes to my brakes :).....
