Well I just got done doing my first scan. Currently looking up all of the codes I threw, here's the readout

What is that Central Locking Pump Run Time Exceeded? I couldn't find that on the Ross-Tech Wiki... I'm guessing it has something to do with my door locks slowly unlocking and whining when I unlock the doors?

Anyways, just a few things. The program wouldn't pick up the signal of the car when the ignition was on, it would only scan codes when the keys were out. Weird, I thought it was supposed to be the other way around. Which brings me to my next question. How the hell am I supposed to log my car if it won't read the car when the ignition is on? How do I go about logging the car in the first place?

Also, a more direct question. Can anyone post a picture of the line that causes the 16795 code when it splits or cracks? There's so many lines going in and out of the airbox, and I can't see that any are damaged, which one should I be specifically looking at?

you need to be able to scan the codes with the ignition turned on. If you look it tried to scan many channels but only seemed to scan 2 different sets.

For the alarm system channel, mine reads the same thing and in many other scans ive seen so i wouldnt worry about that as long as your alarm system beeps and the doors physically lock.

I think your SAI code is from a brittle hose leading from the pump under the left part of the bumper leading up to your airbox. Mine snapped in half and I never replaced it. Maybe its something else though.

Id try to figure out why it wont scan with your car on first then attack the codes. Im still a VAG newb too so this is just what ive seen around the forums. hope it helps

Cool thanks. I'll look into the hose, still trying to figure out exactly which one it is. As far as scanning with the ignition on, I forgot about the aftermarket radio thing. It works now, here's the new readout. Still didn't read out every channel listed in the beginning, I wonder why?

Anyone know what to make of any of these? Not really sure what's up with the ignition one... Also, I still haven't figured out how to log the car. I'd like to check my boost/vacuum and a/f numbers.

Doesn't sound like you cleared all the codes first. These codes could be from 2 years ago and the problems have been fixed. Clear all your codes - and then check it again in a week to see what has come back.
