Have a Borla exhaust on my car, thinking about removing the resonator and running it straight through. Just looking for some people's opinions that have done this. Does it make it sound better? I don't have a test pipe(livin in NJ with emissions yeah..) It is a little bit to quiet. How much louder does it get and the tone difference good..bad? TIA

lol u paid 800$ for a borla high-flow resonator, a borla muffler..........and a bunch of pipe.

If u really wanna take the resonator out u could have built ur own exhaust for a fraction of the price...

2nd - why would you want your car to be louder for - as long you get a good sound when you go WOT - that is really all you need - also a resonator does not absorber as much sound a muffler - if you want your car to be super loud just dump the muffler

I've tried it before, no it doesn't make it sound better. Sure it was loud, but when I got into the higher rpm's it actually sounded more like a raspy civic. The drone on the freeway gave me a headache as well.

yeah, i wanna do a testpipe, I just don't wanna have to go through the pain of switching it out to go through emissions..
