If you don't remember I threw 2 rods back in late May and have since had quite the project in the works. I had 034 build a 2.0L with Eurospec doing the machining. The block arrived last Thursday and the fabrication of many items is about to commence. I hope to make a HPDE at Shenandoah the weekend after H20, which I will be attending with the car as well <fingers crossed I can break the new block in by then and that all work is done>. So lets get on with the details shall we..........

Long block has arrived:)

That AWM went through a major rebuilt. Keeping fingers crossed for 300 wheel.

I am going to push the 2860rs first, I have my reasons. I will have beyond quick spool and full boost at lower RPM's and just enough up top for my present needs.[up]

No rebuild every part of that block is 100% brand spanking new. I wouldn't be as concerned with heat cycle breakin if it were the old block just machined and rebuilt. No need to keep your fingers crossed for 300whp its well within reason with this setup.

Ian, shut up. Your car is slow. And go to bed....

I also have to give you back your cat converter. Turns out I didn't need it to pass inspection.

you really need to get the idler that is on the factory tensioner in there somehow.. It helps get a full wrap on the crank and prevents the belt from slipping on start up if it stretches out a little. running it like that is really bad.

I can't wait. So many people asking why I would stick with the 2860 and not go to a 2871 or 3071, but for now this thing is going to be a blast and surprise some peeps I think.

Indeed, don't want to think about how I made it possible[rolleyes] Let's just say this could have bought alot of books[;)]

Thanks for the compliment and I have to spare AWM covers lying around, just need some sand blasting and TLC, but I think you have access to all the parts you need:)
