View Full Version : cyl 3 pulls more timing?

Has anybody else experience cyl #3 (or any cylinder for that matter) pulling excessivley more timing than the other cylinders?

what would cause such a thing?

my coil packs did just fail and i have yet to relog block 20 since ive swapped, but would coil packs that are on there way out cause different amounts of timing?

help a brotha understand this shiz.... [wrench] [az]

i think it pulls more timing due to the location of the cylinder with relation to the exhaust manifold.

Knock sensors. Many times more knock will be detected in one cylinder than another. This could be true or it could be an overly sensitive knock sensor in that cylinder.

cylinders almost never pull the same amount. if they appear to do so your sample rate is too low or the sensors aren't calibrated. That's assuming you have a stock intake manifold/me7

yip - my 1st cylinder usually is the highest
