Hey guys i have 18x8 rs4 rims on my 2000 audi a4 1.8tq, now i was wondering would 19' be too big in terms of handling/perfomance, im running koni coilovers set @ stasis settings right now. And yes she is lowered.

Also i have 2 bent rims(vibration @ high speed) on right now is it worth it to fix it or just sell and get new...mind u fixing cost $800cdn with them being painted a glossy black to match my brilliant black..

thnx

yeah 18s are a much better fit on b5's

19s are heavier too

Yes. Too heavy, not enough sidewall. You've already bent two wheels, 19s would be worse.

But hey, some people might think your car looks better with 19s. Depends on what's important to you.

yes very true....i forgot...i am so very careful on the 19's, i have 225/35's and drive very carefully...if you have bent two already...you will bend them

19 are fine in terms of handeling/performance (little heavier). BUT, if you managed to bend 18 inch RS4 wheels...stay away from 19's. They'll be squares when you're done with them!

i think 19 foot rims would be way way way too big . . . i think the biggest you can find is like 11 foot rims. LoL. how did nobody else pick up on that?

19's and H&R coilovers. 235 tires. I take it slow when I need to but then again I run them at the track too

19s all the way.. they look soo much better if the car is kitted. If I hadn't came across my 18x8 Kinesis wheels, I'd be rocking some forged 19s.

215/35/19 is only thing that might be safe enough to put without rubbin.
Then again it won't help to absorb pothole impacts and will bend the rim very fast.
Not to mention 19" tires are more expensive than 18" or 20" tires because they are more rare.

they look way to big if the spokes go all the way to the edge, if you get with a thick lip it looks normal, dunno if you'll understand what i mean

If you live in a place where the roads are so good that you could put a level down and the bubble will be centered then yes you could have 19s.

In NYC or anywhere where the cities are too cheap to increase budgets for roads, No. I have 18's and they're bent up.

I like 19's :) Our roads are pretty crappy here in this part of the country.. but as long as I roll over the bad bumps a little more casually, I am safe.

Please don't wast your money. I have this full kit, bought it 6 or so years ago and have been unhappy since day one. Guaranteed to fit my ass.

there is a place in montreal that I sent a 18" to and they fixed it for 100$ shipped. I'll try to find the place fo you. worse case senario you can buy a few knockoff's to replace the bent rims.

if you do get a set of 19" let me know I could use a single 18" to use as a spare tire.

19's are the perfect size. they ARE heavy, but handle perfectly fine. the ride is a little rough, so depending on how the roads are where you live, may determine whether you should go with 18s or 19s...

i have 19s with 235/35/19's on them and i never have rubbing issues...you'll be happy with the look of a 19, i can guarantee it

That's not really true. When people rub, it's a combination of a few factors: tire size, offset, width, and diameter of wheel. A low offset will poke more and paired with a wide tire, will rub, but a higher offset wheel with the same width tire won't rub.

To keep the rolling diameter closest to stock and to maintain a bit of sidewall, I'd recommend 235/35/19 tires. Also if you're planning to get 19s, just be prepared to roll the front fenders. You won't have too many worries about rubing if you do this.

This all being said, I've been running different sets of 19s with 235/35/19 tires for about 7 years now and have had different experiences depending on the offset and width of the wheels.
