im guessing the 2.8 and the 1.8t would be different, but does anyone know the weight ratio in the b5's? i can almost guarantee it isnt 50/50 like the s2000, but im just curious as to what it is. thanks

edit... for the title, i meant weight ratio. my bad

I think he meant what is the WEIGHT distribution. He was thinking that it would probably be diff between the two engines because the v6 weighs more...

probably like 80/20

that is under breaking would the ratio be like this I would guess 60/40 - our car is really nose heavy - if you ever jack up your car you would know - the back kinda of just floats up compared to the front.

i only brought up the s2k since i was reading on it and they said it had perfect 50/50 weight ratio. so i was curious as to what the ratio is for the b5s. thats all. and yeah i was thinking the v6 was heavier so the ratio might be different.

thing to think about that - weight ratio is only as good as the driver who can balance the car correctly - most people will never push to car to absolute traction. When you think about weight ratio it comes down to the driver's ability to control the brakes and throttle - to balance the car's weight. 50/50 is great but a good driver can make up for the difference with their ability to DRIVE.

This was in full street trim with a nearly full tank, bike rack, spare tire, etc.. We got the corner balance nearly perfect and the natural front to rear was about 56/44.

The Avant has better balance than the sedan. Sedans are closer to 60/40. Of course, the Coupe Quattro rally car and the Porsche 911 Turbos have inferior weight distribution and they seem to do just fine.
