so i bought new fronts and back type-s speakers. i installed the front two easily, and back right one easily but when i went to install the new one into the back left(behind drivers seat) there was the stock amp attached to the speaker.
i unplugged the amp and wired it to my new speaker, but it doesnt stay in the hole for the speaker, and i think that amp is the reason why bass is going through my speakers (i want no bass through speakers and just bass through subs).
how would i go about taking care of this problem ?

buy a new four channel amp and rewire your whole car

a resistor. Not sure which one but i know you can wire a resistor with a certain voltage and it would cut off the frequencies you dont want. search on google a bit and you'll find the resistance you would need.

Define bass. You need to read more about speakers.

Subs should only play from about 20hz - 200hz. Mids will play 150hz-15,000hz and tweeters will do 15khz- 20khz

you will always have bass in the mids, you have to, they are designed for it...

hes probably runnng the subs up to like 200 hz. i would recommend running the subs up to 120-150 hz, then geting a resistor for the coaxials that will cut off anything below like 130hz. you could buy a crossover to do it the right way.
