Hello everybody,
I usualy post in the B7 forum but since it's about the R8 I guess it will work better here.

I found out about the "Audi Driving Experience" just a few days ago and when I saw you could drive an R8 (plus many other cars) I just jumped on the enrollment page. Two days later I found myself driving the A3, A4, A6, A8, Q7 and the new TT on the Joliet track, rented by Audi for this event. They let you do a few things an all this cars, including "racing" on a really small track, avoiding some cones, braking, lane change etc.. Great cars, I was impressed about the Q7 on that little track, excellent handling on such a big car. I almost didn't feel any difference between Q7 and A8/A6.

On the other side, they let you drive (if you pay an extra fee) the RS4 and the R8 on the real track. I did laps (on the main track) with the RS4, about 30-40 mins, excellent car, it felt GREAT. But then, when I switched for the next half hour(+) to the R8 I almost forgot about the RS4.. That R8 is such an impressive car, it felt so steady on any turn, on any trick you do it's almost unbelievably. The engine is intoxicating, in the way it pools and sounds (I know it's the same as in RS4, but it felt different). I had NO words to describe it then or now, it's just way too much for me, it felt so good driving it (and looking at it, by the way) I couldn't sleep almost all night long after the event.

I don't really have words to describe the R8, I just know I NEED one.

I took a few pics and videos within the event, quality is not the best(phone camera, 5MP but still lacking a little behind regular cameras..). I also shot two laps while someone else was driving BUT the video doesn't represent the speed at all, it's quite boring compared to what u feel in the car (professional driver-really good driver but crazy ;)).

I tried to keep the camera/phone as steady as possible, I obviously didn't do a good job at all ... again, crazy driver ... He went over the whole track just for the fun of it not for the best lap/time. He shacked me pretty good, but is nice to slide all over the track in an R8 ..
