View Full Version : My 30 dollar heat shield at work with IAT LOGS

The outside temp was around 73F - and I was driving like 65 on the freeway

this is with an open K&N

I have more ways to drop that number down - the key is that air is the best insulator - because it is a gas form and does not easily transfer heat

I think my next thing is some fender holes with a drill not sure how much current is under there

Also extending my heat shield to cover more of the inlet

heat wrap the exhaust

Also more fresh air will also help

if your into nickel and dime number this is for you

where's the log without the shield?

That log doesn't mean much seeing that your not pushing any boost at all. Now log the car at WOT and see how much they climb.

then take that peak number and see how long it takes to get back to that cruising value that will tell you how well your intercooler is working...
