i'll throw up the sheet later on,

Max Hp: 164awhp @ 5500rpm
Max Tq: 171awtq @ 3450rpm

Engine mods at time of dyno:
1998.5 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro Manual
GIAC 1.0bar
OEM Cat <- piece of shit. i hate the oem cat.
2.5" Mandrel Bent Exhaust w/ Magnaflow 12158
Greddy Type-S BOV (recirculated)
K&N Air Intake
Custom Heat Shield
South Bend OFE Stage 4 Clutch
SPP Electric Fan Kit
PWS Cooler


Not a bad baseline on the Mustang Dyno, but when i get the new transmission in there and thrown the test pipe back on we'll see what the numbers are.

Nice #'s, but have to remember that the EIP dyno reads very high for a mustang and they have it setup that way to make customers feel good. I would have to say it reads 5-7&#37; higher then a normal mustang or dynojet.



What is wrong with the trans?

well, it sounds like a tractor in 1st gear, no more speedometer, it all messed up. Clutch feels fine, but the gear selector feels like shit and it's just bad. I''ve been told it a transmission bearing, but does that mean it's the throw out bearing? i dunno..

I want to go with a 2.8 and a full set of 034 track density mounts.

Lol..are you sure? cuz a b6 usp apr stage 1+ (sekkey) only had 130hp :|

Oh I am sorry, got that shop mixed up with the one back east that has the high reading mustang. But this one seems high at 164whp for a GIAC 1 bar chip on a ndbw which comes out to 210chp with a 22% driveline loss unless it was done with a race tune and race fuel. I wonder how much lower the readings would be for that car on the mustang dyno at GST Motorsports in Hayward.


If a B6 with a APR stage 1+ was only making 130whp then there was a major issue with the tuning on that car or that 164whp was with a SAE correction.

trust me Paul at EIP is a really good tuner he tuned my friends stock STI which was putting out 270whp. im thinking of having him tune my car also.

14.5 psi on a stock ndbw K03? Because that combo does not produce 210 chp. Even the K03s on a 2001 needs 1.4 bar(20psi) of boost just to make that much.

Yeah that would it. Damn too many shops with 3 letters starting with E. Hell there are 2 shops called EIP. Starting to wonder if people just copy another shops name because they cant come up with one on their own.

I dunno, i usually boost ~17psi. I always thought it was due to weather though. I thought the numbers were shit, but i guess i did ok?

Yes you did good if those are uncorrected readings. Yeah that would be about a 1.2 bar chip, the chip would have to be pretty old to be an actual 1 bar chip.


Using a 22% driveline loss
So basicly 164 x 100 divide by 78 = 210.26 chp.

i think hes trying to figure out if the increased holding power of his stage 4 clutch would eliminate some drive train loss, which the answer to is still no.

Well its better then 146whp.[:p]



If you are running a K03 then it is good since that is 210chp while most ndbw chips are just rated at 190-200chp. But then it isn't my K03 setup that was making 200+awhp and 250+awtq.[:p]

Could be just the way the dyno is setup since the dyno just uses tq info to get the hp readings.

I wouldn't trip off of what that dyno says you had. If you compare our dynos that day I only had 10 more WHP with a K04 and a bunch more other mods on my B5.5 Passat.
