View Full Version : Undecided with $$$

I have about $500 to spend. First i want to fix everything wrong with my car like my new tint, detail for paint, front window, floor mat, and washer cap. With all that, theres goes most of the $$$. But with the money i have left. Only guessing around $100 what should i do. My front brakes need new pads and my my tires are done [down]. Should i also put the $ into the brakes/tires and rs4/m3 lip?

Get the mechanical parts first, lip later. Tires and brakes are important, come on man use some common sense on this one. Appearance is that last of your worries. You owe me 3 brain cells for reading this one. Function over fashion any day jeez.

i know, 3 brain cells granted. just i would rather save $ for rims/good tires instead of buying shity tires and using them for a few months and then going out to buy bigger rims with new tires.

first take care of whatever's wrong with the car mechanically (and i dont mean the exhaust restrictor known as the K03)

Then suspension

Then bigger turbo

i would do the brakes before i even thought about tint or a detail...

Pads + tires should be priority.
Don't worry about tint, paint and rims if your pad and tires are are gone, worry about dying.

Safety and mechanical first, then everything else.

Gonna agree with everything that was said already. Take care of that shit man. Get those brakes done asap, an easy DIY, it'll save you alot of money if you do it yourself if you're strapped for cash. Don't worry about the tint or detail. And I'm not sure of a real good detail you can get for under $300 or so, you don't wanna go with the cheap ones. That's why I bought all the stuff and do it myself. It cost me about the same as a good detail and I can continue to do them for free.

strip the tint yourself...about 10 razorblades and a heat gun and it will save you about $150

Or fix the tires if they're bad enough i'd worry about the diff. maybe.
