I noticed that it looked like sushi had body-colored tails, and it looked damn sharp. Is that actually a feasible thing for me to do with bamboo, and if so, what all would it entail?

it's possible i am just seeing this wrong and those are simply tinted and next to a red body.

The tails are red stock. This just looks like tinted tails over a stock red tail light giving it the effect of dark red

what you can do, if they take clear coat and a few drops of you paint in the clear coat, they should be able to actually paint your taillights and they be "tinted" the color of your car

A painter in town here sprayed a mix of clear and body-color paint on my buddy's mirrors (CF), which allow you to still see through the mix, but appear body color. It can be done, and would probably look great, IMO.

It's a little hard to see here, but the way the light reflects off the edge of the mirror, you can kinda see the CF weave.

^^ The tails on the red a4 pictured do look body color painted. If they were simply tinted, they'd appear more black.

that's what i'm trying to do with my cf hood. Paint over it, yet the cf is still visible through the paint. Just like the F40s!

colored tails are a nice idea but there is something about having a little contrast that makes a car look real good.
