I bought this set from ebay for a good price..
Seller said they were 19lbs and when they arrived they were 25.5lbs. I really wanted a lightweight wheel. seller agreed to take the wheels back and gave me shipping labels to send them, they are packaged out to go back to him.

damn they are beautiful but i want a wheel i can take to the track too.

those look like replicas how much you get them for?

i am going to assume that those a replicas. Weight them with tires and then weigh your stockers with tires. If they are lighter then the stock set, then they are lightweight. If they are heavier, then they are obviously not. Are you trying to make your car really light to run the quarter, or are you just lookin to get something that looks good?

If you want to make your car lighter to race then get rid of them.
If you just want rims to make your car look good then keep them i'd say

Of course they are replicas. They say BB5 (five) rather than BBS and don't have any of the cast in identifiers. The real BBS LM is a forged wheel which means it comes with Gold BBS script on the centercaps. Only the cast wheels have silver script.

There are a lot of wheels out there under 20 pounds. Kosei has several, SSR Comps, OZ Crono HT, etc..

Why would you want to run a nice set of aftermarket rims at the track anyways? Regardless of who makes them and how much they weigh? You catch a curb or have a blowout at the track, your rims are asking for a beating. Keep these and get a set of stockers for the track.

I love lm reps, i have 'em on mine.

k1 ts's look awesome.

I'm in the search for some 17x* lightweight wheels, right now I've narrowed down my choices to:

Kosei K1 TS's
SSR Comps
Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2
OZ ultralegarras

They're all around 17ish pounds, the kosei's are only like 15.

No you're not stupid for returning those bricks. Weight at the wheel especially 25lbs worth is not good for performance. I weighed my old wheels after returning to stock and noticing a huge performance gain. The 17's I had were 29lbs! Now I've got some OZ Superleggera's at 17lbs. Nice.
