my air bag light is on and the stealership wants 150[down] to check it out and it doesnt even get rid of the light. anyone kno how to fix this or a shop that can for cheap??and anyone got a stock a4 bumper they want to sell for 97 a4?

try to find someone with vag close to you so you can pin-point the problem. Could be as simple as a loose connector but probably not. That's all mine was.

vag? and could you show me a pic of where that connecter would be so i could check it out and hopefully its the same

VAGCOM is a software you download onto your lap top. You then connect a cable to your lap top, then connect the other end to the port under your dash, near the hood release latch. With the software, you are able to thoroughly scan what's going on with the ecu and otehr stuff in your car.

my airbag light was on because of a yellow connection under the seat in my b6 A4. It was easy to figure out because vagcom tells you where the problem is coming from, atleast as far as the airbag system is concearned. Try to get it vag'd.
