the one i see most people getting is the smaller 2 inch inlet/outlet from cxracing. This is the route i will be going in the next couple of days with a universal piping kit so i can massage a nice fitment under the stock bumper. You can even go through a secure website instead of Ebay which is what I will be doing.

Mine is from cxracing - I got a large one because i was dreaming of upgrading to a 28rs... i spent 300-350 for (FMIC, hoses, custom mounting brackets..)

more photos (http://picasaweb.google.com/shawntrash/Intercooler)..

get the 2.5" inlet outlet for your FMIC, and just get a 2.5" > 2" reducer, and order 2" pipes if you're going with a k03 or k04...

it's basically the same intercooler cxracing has... they probably have the same supplier... it's a bit small but should fit behind the stock bumper... you're maybe looking at 20-50$ less than the kit from cx... so just go for it..

if you scroll down on the ebay post, it looks like he is including FMIC, pipes, clamps, hoses.

call him, or email him to be sure. but that's what it looks like on his listing.

Who here has bought a FMIC that they put behind the stock bumper? If you did, what are the core's dimensions and how much did you have to trim off the bumper?

I think as long as you stay under 2.75 there is minimal trimming of the stock bumper.

Make sure you specify what color you want over and over again because i just ordered my kit from kevin @ xracing and i said blue silicone more than once and he sent me red

Well depends on if your FMIC will sit under your support beam or not... i got a 9" x 2.75" and i had to cut my support beam ALOT. a 6" tall FMIC might fit under your beam depending on how low your car is.
