I just discovered it today. I don't even know how I didn't see this before. My car has been really laggy and when I boost test the system doesn't hold any pressure at all. I felt a lot of air moving from my intercooler and see a huge crack on the end pipe at the weld. I tried to JB weld it but no luck. haha it ran so good for the first 10 seconds of boosting. So now i'm gonna try and find a local tig welder to see what they can do. I should be looking into a newer core though. I might be cheap and go with one from ebay or a spearco core. What do you guys think?

You can get it welded up at any machine/welding shop. We would charge about $40-100 to weld it up.

just to fill a 8" long crack?

It all depends how long it takes. If it's a simple crack and all we have to do is grind it out and bit and fuse it together, it would be relatively inexpensive. But if it is cracked at the inlet/outlet neck at the weld, it would take a little more prep to get a sufficient weld.

yea I was charged 65 dollars to have a bung (supplied) TIG welded to my intercooler piping for the DV.
