ok so on friday my center display said that i have LOW OIL PRESSURE, so i pulled over and checked my oil dipstick and my oil was all the way to the top. Since i had been driving for awhile the oil had been circulating and could have easily went up that high due to heat and whatever. So after the car has been sitting over night (10 hours), i checked it again and it is still at the top (full of oil). I thought i was just a electrical thing, so i didnt do anything about it. I drove the car on saturday and LOW OIL PRESSURE keeps showing up on my dash almost every 10 minutes then goes away and shows up again. After 40 minutes of driving my check engine light came on, but is not flashing. The car is driving perfectly fine, but i dont want to end up having the motor die. My car is done with warranty since i am over the 50K mileage. Anyone know what is wrong or a good (cheap) shop that i can get this checked out at?? Or anyone know of a place that will tell me whats wrong for free or cheap??

Summary: Check engine light is on, dont have warranty, need a cheap place to get this checked out and maybe fixed.

thanks for the help!!

jose at euro-tech in culver city. As long as he's not super busy he'll VAG your car and let you know what's up.

culver city is over a 30 minute drive for me...i am just going to take it to the dealership, my advisor said he would try to get it covered under warrant since i am over the mileage by 200-300 miles....

jose's 45 mins from me. he's worth the drive for lots of people. if you dont get the results you want at the dealer, he's the one lots of AZers would recommend.
