So today I failed the state inspection. sweet. they failed me for front rotors, driver side fog light, and suspension. Front rotors i can understand because they probably are worn. ds fog light? it worked for me when i got home and i watched the guy as he did it and he never even turned the fog lights on! wtf! and then he didn't tell me about the fogs i just noticed it on the big fuckin' pink sticker i got. and the suspension was because it was evident that my body had made contact with my tires (because of the previously unrolled fenders) so i fixed that by rolling my fenders a bit more. to get those vertical did you have take out the plastic liner? anyway, i'm just pissed about the fog light shit. ugh. i knew i should have waited until tomorrow to get it done so i could use a different garage.

oh yeah, and a suggestion on rotors would be helpful too!

You could buy my A8 rotors that I've got for sale :)

i feel your pain... a couple of months ago i took it in for a simple inspection only to find out that 7 of my 8 control arms and both tre's were shot. Estimated 2000 to have it fixed. Needless to say, not the happiest day for me. Ended up ordering the meyle kit and doing it myself for 500, but still. I'm always nerve-racked on inspection day.

how much? i need some that will fit with my winter tires (on the stock wheels) for those icy winters so i'm not sure if they'll fit!

also, will poly u spring bushings keep my ride less bouncy and help with that bit of rub? i rolled my fenders, but i've not seen if it rubs any yet. a friend of mine with a GLI said he did it when he lowered it and it helped a lot.

A8 rotors will fit behind the stock (16in) wheels.

i'll pass on them, i'd want to buy everything as a package....

To have the A8 rotors you need to have the TT caliper carriers.

sounds like a bs inspection to me. I would try another place after replacing the rotors.

Failed inspection partially for a foglight? Dam that sounds like a load of crap. i have never heard such a thing before. Was it a garage you went to or a state inspection station?

it was a state inspection station. after i looked at the ticket more and figured out what a lot of the scribble was, i noticed another thing that i failed for was one of my rear tag lights was "intermittent" ha. i'll be getting a new inspection tomorrow
