What do you mean by transmission problems? The 6 speed or Tiptronic? Are they referring to not being able to use DSG? What are they basing the problems from?
I have not seen any posts from anyone getting a new A5 but I have seen some new S5 posts.

Although the Q1 next year (for North America) part is true, it's not a transmission issue. It's already available in Europe.

Why would a dealer tell anyone the car isn't available yet because it has transmission problems?!?!? Car dealers tend to be the biggest liars in the world I can't imagine them detering business by telling someone this.

Word on the street is that there was a rail strike in Eu and that's what caused some of the delays in production.
