im planning on droppin it soon, just lookin for good springs and shocks, any ideas? show me some of your set ups.

and was wondering what kind of intake is good for this motor, and if possible show me your set ups, thankssss [:)][:)][:)]

welcome, good choice on the 1.8t. As for an intake look up the modified airbox, o do a cone filter with a quality heat shield.

I think you have a 99.5 because you have different tail lights and your dash

Headlights, side markers, door handles and tail lights indicate a 99.5.

The code means you have a vacuum leak somewhere. Check all the hoses, and clamps.

Nice ride.

Nice! It looks very clean and well taken care of (super important for a B5, might mean fewer trips to the shop).

You're gonna love it - welcome to the family!

it looks like its sitting on sport suspension. get some 18"s for right now then go with the suspension. Reminds me of when i got my car, looks great!

[down] for you.

X2. That was uncalled-for.

Congrats bud, get used to coming on here because things will come up, just bookmark the forum now!

Timing belt intervals should be the only thing on your mind right now if you dont know when the last Service was done.

The car is absolutely clean and looks great.

so what exactly are xenons? and my car was made in November 99.5 but it says 2000. and it has the face lift. what does that mean?

oh and the car looks really good. and really clean. if you have the sport suspension, get 18s and then suspension. 18s look surprisingly good with the stock sport. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v82/dmaize/sheperd2.jpg these are 18s with stock sport

When I had that code it was the fabric braided vac tube between my diverter valve and the intake manifold that decayed and was leaking. If you dont seem to have an boost loss this is most likely the case.

Here is a diagram to shwo you, I also added a green line between the diverter valve (bypass valve as the diagram calls it) and the intake manifold.

You dont need to go to the dealer for this vac line, just get vac line that has the same diameter from your local auto part store. Bring in the broken one to give them an example.

The easiest way to replace it is to take off the skid plate under the car to access to the the diverter valve, from the top you can clearly see the intake manifold side. Each end will use one time clamps so make sure to purchase replacement ones when you get the vac line. I prefer screw ones for easy replacement later on.

Hope this helps
