when you paint the lowers...arnt there several different parts that make up the side "skirts" on the audis..
im pretty sure there are strips right below the door and have a tendancy to fall off after awhile..well what are you supposed to do if you have those painted the same color as your car if they end up falling off??

yea but that makes me not want to get my lowers painted for that reason...but i really want to soo bad..it does look awesome on silver b5's...def sets off the car.

bellofello...any more info on how you like them/how the turned out and pricing??
iv been wanting to paint my lowers for so long now but still i am worried about it cause the lowers are made of weird plastic material that can chip easily.
thanks!

yeah other than the rock chips I like the way the grill picture looks haha

Well the average body shop quote that I've gotten around here is about $500, this is also because I had some small rear bumper damage that was fixed, mainly bad scratches and what not. So a guy that does mobile touch ups out of his van said he could do everything for $180, so I went for it on impulse, same day it was done.

The drop is neuspeed race springs on bilstein shocks. I paid $300 bucks for the shocks and a set of springs that turned out to be cracked, so I got some new springs for $400 shipped and taxes in, so in the end $700.

There are some spots that the guy messed up on that you can see if you look close in person, but I'm not entering any car shows soon, so going down the road it looks really sweet.

Having painted lowers makes the car look so much better when its silver.

Check in in a few months and let us know how it's held up. [up]

edit: Wow, you're trying to sell that for $13k on your site? That's alotta gouda for a prefacelift with 160kms. (What is that in miles? lol)

yeah, just basing that on what I paid (14k) and the area that I'm in now, the market will probably pay close to that, 160 000 kms is right around 100 000 miles. Don't forget American vs. Canadian prices, not only the exchange but just market prices are a lot higher here.

Hopefully I won't be driving it in a few months haha, moving to an R32 GTR [drive]
