Glad I was able to find you guys today. The drifting was pretty good, I'll post some pics later.

Speaking of parking, it wasn't bad at all. We parked right into the usual parking garage that we like to park at whenever in downtown S.J.. Plenty of spots and the city traffic wasn't bad at all.

illusive - I'll be there tomorrow with icice. Give him a call so we can have a few beers. BTW I always buy beer at the crown plaza bar or at peggy sues for $5.00 rather than spending $7.00 for budweiser crap.

I went Friday with the free ticket offer. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't more classic and exotic cars in the convention center. They have a new lounge area up there overlooking the track though. I was able to sneak into the champ car paddock too [:D]

^officials don't care. When you drive into the event, you bring whatever you want in your car....I didn't have to walk through the entrance gates at all. just drove in.

shit was awesome...i have the privilege of living down south 2nd and waking up to the amazing sounds each morning...

first year i got to make it, as i was out of town the last two times. i rod my bike a few blocks and found all the free spots...FUCK TICKETS..i found the dopest spot on the back straight away...its like a stadium seat minus the blown cash...

the notes are unbelievable...i couldnt get over how dope it was...goosebumps
i think its really cool how san jose has this now...i could just sit and watch them rip by all day

i watched the race on sunday, and it got really good towards the end...saw some good driving and an ill draft/take right at a bend. found myself cheering
i loved hearing the trannys downshift in the corners...those cars are amazing...

i peeped the set-up they had out front the theater on 1st.
i got curious after thinking about all the brake fade they must get...seeing those glowing rotors as they zipped by, and wondered what they are running...
i figured it was like a 270 degree alcon or something, but i was suprized to see a basica set of 355 brembos with floating stasis/alcon like rotors.

i really wanna drive one...

I totally agree. I'm glad San Jose is putting this on. I too loved hearing that "bang" as they upshifted. I was seated in the grandstands right at the Tech Museum bend. It was awesome seeing them coming at you and then pull down the few turns near the back. It was also a great spot for viewing the drifting. [up]

Sucks Jani wasn't able to hold on FTW but at least PKV podiumed. And I'm happy Bourdais didn't win another race! He needs to go to F1 already and get served!!! haha

I didn't make it Sunday, sorry Dale. I was there Friday but didn't see you! Did you catch Anjelah Johnson perform. She's a lot skinnier in person, but I'd still hit![:p]
