Just thought I post a few pics [cool] to keep thing interesting. First mod done so far, Huper Optik Tint 30% on all windows and 60% on windshield (good stuff). Wheels on order and contemplating pulling the trigger on the MTM exhaust for the next items on the lineup.

Hey Nick, wow u saw my pics fast. It was nice speaking with you today. Look forward to seeing how they will look on the car. BTW: I was wondering what your opinion is on the lip of the wheel? Will they be able to do next to nothing, kinda like how the stock MB CL65 wheels are or will it have a small say 1 1/2" - 2" lip? Do I have any choice on this? Thanks.

Regards
Carsan

the pics BTW are without tint. I'll take some new pics soon.

...now put some 22" BBS LM wheels on it [:D]

LM's are one of my favorites. I ordered these from Nick @ autobahn. No polished lip, went with a all brushed wheel. Hope they turn out to be top notch wheels, sticking with stock 20". Don't want to spend my weekends at wheel repair shops. [wrench]

that last shot with the suede and the b&o is super classy.

i heard the b&o sound system in the s8 out the audi showroom in nyc and i am pretty sure it is some of the best sound i have ever heard. and i am a hardcore audiophile.

carsany
07-30-2007, 09:30 AM
The B&O is the best stock audio system I've heard. I am quite a audio nut myself and I have to agree with you. It is up there. Considering the price, it's a nice piece of equipment if you are a audiophile. If you are not, the Bose is more than sufficient.

Makes me want to find a deal on some old Apogee Diva speakers and some Krell Amps. [up] That was one expensive hobby in the old dayz.....

They said they would make the wheels to stock specifications so that they can minimize the lip as much as possible. I would imagine that it will be 1-1.5" or so max. [up]

Thanks for all the positive comments[:D] Here's a few more interior pics to help any S8 purchasers out there getting ready to pull the trigger. Wish I had more photo taking skills, I'll try some more soon and see if I can get some nice detail shots up.

Thanks Nick for the response, 1-1.5" sounds good to me really do not want to exceed that. C ya soon [up]

Thanks for the kind words. I just moved to LA a few months ago, I am in downtown LA. Any good recommendations for cool spots to hang. Well, not that cool. I am just looking for a nice quiet place where a MAN can get a little(alot) of alcohol in him. Dying of boredom in this glitzy town. LOL. Thanks for the suggestion on the tint, but the windows have been done already with 30% huper optik. Love the stuff, did it on the A3. works wonders.

I just noticed that recently too chris. The A3 is truly a blast to drive, great little car. Congrats! Do you know of a good place to get a door ding removed? I just got a ding in a parking lot at the Santa Monica Beach. It's only about the size of a quarter but it sure did piss me off[headbang] . I hate when that happens and I am from NYC[confused] pretty much avoided door dings for almost 4 years now, guess the luck ran out. Any info would be appreciated. I was just thinking of going to SOSDENT or Dent Time. Thanks again!

you live in downtown and cant find anything to do...what part of downtown are you in, guessing south park with all the nice lofts. walk down the street and you can find cool spots, just dont wander into the wrong block or bad news.
what part of nyc are you from, spent 2 months of my summer there plus all my family is in the city.

Thx! You got me pegged, I live like 2 blocks from the Staples Center. Went to a few places around the area so far. J Lounge, Library Bar and the Standard. They were kinda boring, pretty typical scene. Heard the Edison was nice, had not had a chance to check it out though.

Dunno which block is bad, past 8PM feels like anywhere more than 6-8 blocks from my place is 1980's NY.[:D]

Great pics again... ah tandem underground parking... [up]

If you really want to enjoy yourself, you need to go to Hollywood. Pick up an LA Weekly, doing some reading, call the places in advance and you'll get the VIP treatment. I grew up in Burbank (just over the hill from Hollywood and the REAL place movies are made) - my Hollywood excursions were monumental. [race]

car is hot good luck with it. but in my opinion you could off done better with the wheels.

Hey Chris, not much partying for me these days. Second child is on it's way and work has been piling up. Those hollywood excursions will just have to wait LOL.

Detail Werks, I kind of agree about the wheels. It was not a easy choice to buy the wheels. I am a stock wheel kind of guy. I was gonna go for the stock A8 sport wheels at first, but after seeing them on the S8. I decided to go for the DPE's, since they do conform a little to the stock A8 sport wheels. There were way too many choices and most of them look to pimped out for my taste. I am not a 22" 295/25 wheel kind of person. Plain Jane is good 4 me, I tried and the wheels are still a bit flashy for me. What would you have done?

dont know its really hard for a vehicle like that. 22 is too dub out and 20' are to small
i think i would off done 21' 3 inch lip mesh look all the way around with some nice bridgestones pole positions tires. it would look agressive but at the same time you wont loose that
s8 transpoter look. but hey you still got a nasty car hands down.[up]

carsany

Not into the deep lip. I ordered these from DPE with as minimal lip as possible. If I could have ordered with no lip, I would of. I considered 21 also, but the ride on the S8 is suprisingly pretty firm. I was afraid if I went 21" I would lose some teeth[:D]
