can a 3 inch turbo back be run on a ko3? I was told no because there wasnt enough back pressure and in order to have it run properly the car would need to be tuned for a 3 inch system. Is this true?

Yes you can run a 3" turbo back on a K03 but it would be a complete waste of time and NO you will never want back pressure on a turbocharged engine so whoever told you that was pulling your leg.

Ive got a 2.5 inch cat back system now. Should i do a 2.5inch TP or 3inch when going turbo back?

Very true on a external wg setup. Problem with reducing all the back pressure on a internal wg while using the N75 is the fact that it will increase flow thru the wg more then flow thru the exhaust wheel, this is why people feel a loss of low end tq when going too big with a K03/K04.

Thats going to be so wickedly loud...I feel bad for all you drive by at WOT or even before for that matter:) Dietbudda's is just like that, but with a 4" tip. I am doing the same, but with dual 2.5" tips and adding a mid muffler to try and stay somewhat restrained soundwise. I'll get some pictures of mine up once it's underway.

Forgive the noob question, but what is the point of having the flex pipe in the rear like that?

Looks loud without a resonator. With a second muffler as a resonator it should be sweet! Even as is it would be sweet for those that like to be a little less discreet.

i had a 3" turbo back on my celica with 3sgte, i had a magnaflow muffler and it was quiet at idle and noice at wot.

at any rate i am in love with your tip, simple, clean, sleeper. ive always loved the look of a 3" straight pipe tip.

Matrix made a setup just like this with a high flow cat way back in 2001, but it never sold well because of price. The one in my car was the prototype which was in garrett's(GIAC) car. Good to see 034 jumping on making one since no one else has since then, well I think EVOms did but it never really sold well either plus they had issues with their HFC and fitment issues.
