I have a 3.0 w/ eibachs and sport shocks....i'm switching to Koni sports next week and was wondering if anyone could help me out with the settings. I've searched and found many different setups but all for 1.8Ts. I'm thinking my 3.0 may require me to run the fronts a bit stiffer to compensate for the engine weight.
I'm looking for a smooth, non-bouncy, and not overly harsh ride. I was thinking 50% fronts and 60% rears. Anyone have any advice? TIA

I am running Koni sports with Eibach springs on a 1.8T. I played around with them a bit before I settled on full soft in the front and 1/2 turn on the rear (roughly 25%). Full soft on the front was slightly stiffer than the Audi sport shocks. After 75K miles I took them out and bumped the front up to 1/4 turn (roughly 20%) and the rears to 1/1/4 turns (roughly 60%). The front was fine but the rear was uncomfortably stiff, especially for anyone riding in the rear. I backed them back to 3/4 turns (roughly 40%) and now they are fine. Unless you are looking for a fairly stiff ride I suspect 50% front 60% rear may be a tad tight. My goal was to improve handling but maintain a comfortable ride and these settings worked well for me.

I received them yesterday and am a little confused with the adjustment process. I'm assuming that I have to turn the rods clockwise about 3/4 turn to tighten them up a bit...is this correct? If I turn them all the way to counter-clockwise will they lock(stop-turning) at the softest setting or will they just keep turning? I do not want to mess anything up and i want to make sure i ajdust them evenly. TIA

First you press down on the shock rod and turn it slowly in either direction until you feel it engage. Then turn it in either direction until it stops. Now keep it engaged and turn it in the opposite direction until it stops, making sure to count the exact number of turns. For sake of argument lets say it went 2 1/2 turns. Then you know that a 50% setting would be 1 1/4 turns (1/2 of the total). So now turn the setting to full soft (all the way counter clockwise) and then increase to what ever setting you want. For example if you want 50% turn it clockwise 1 1/4 turns. If you want 25% turn it clockwise slightly over 1/2 a turn.
Have fun!

Spoke to Eric @ SPP...he recommended 100% in the front and 50% in the rear. I decided on going 65% front and 50% rear. Shocks are being installed tomorrow. I'll post feedback when I get the car back.

Just got the car back...the ride/handling is amazing and nowhere near as stiff as i was expecting.

Where did you have them installed and how much?

im running Koni's with Vogtland club springs from Pure MS. Im pretty sure i set my fronts to 50% and rears to like 30%.... and the ride is probably as close to stock as you can get with much needed handling at highway speeds and sharp turns, im 100% satisfied with this setup.
My Neuspeed 19mm RSB (set to medium) played a huge role in making the car handle awsome on turns and changing lanes at high speeds [:D]
