Anyone on here with the Votex spoiler on B6 Avant? My part arrived today but fits wrong.
I was shipped:
8ED 071 640
I think i need this instead:
8E9 071 640
Anyone can confirm this?
Thanks!
Dave

Avanteix Has one (votex)...
Those look like Audi part numbers though? are you referring to USP spoiler?

Here's how it is fitting (poorly). Note the part number, 8ED 071 640 I believe this is a B7 part.

Are there pegs on the underside?
I have a 2003 avant, during which that year did not have a Ultrasport or "sline" model. The OEM Audi USP spoiler i bought for B6 had pegs on the underside, as if either
1. holes had to be drilled for mounting or
2. the pegs had to be cut off
I test fitted it just like you did, and it fit crappy like that. I'm sorry but i dont have the part number when i bought it. Mine also came plain, black plastic and unprimered. Just know OEM Audi body parts can come plain, or primered. If this is a Votex... which i dont think it is.... it shoudn't have the Audi part number or the Audi stamp (i could be mistaken because i dont have that little cut in the middle like yours). Indeed, you might have a B7, but it SHOULD fit.
I took the spoiler it to Audi for install. They outsourced it to a high end german/luxury car place.
There were no holes drilled, the pegs were cut off, and the wing was secured using some kind of strong adhesive.
I dont know but maybe the true OEM USP avants have holes in the stock location so that these wings can be just placed on top then secured into place w/ screws...which is how i would have preferred it to be installed.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info Brian. I checked with 3 audi dealerships who confirmed the part number stamped on this piece is the spoiler for B7s. B6 part number starts with 8E9, not 8ED. Apparantly for spoilers it's a different fitment. Argh!
PS no pegs or holes in this one. The instructions show it must be mounted using epoxy/glue.
Thanks again for your help.
