Wonder if anyone can help VAG my car (WLA area)

I want to mod the car with remote windows feature and smog light on w/o low beam...
Thinking about getting the VAG-COM myself, but can't afford a cable+software for 350...
Wonder if anyone has the VAG tool and is willing to help for free or for cheap?
