View Full Version : Koni's and H&R Sports Installed -- Sagging Rear

06-15-2007, 10:42 AM
Hey guys,
Just this past weekend, I finished my first suspension install, and it went quite well, aside from a few rusted bolts....Now that I"m done, the ride height of the front and rear ends on the drivers side is an eye sore. The left-side rear is sagging, and the front shock looks like its higher than stock.....What could I have done wrong here? How can I fix it? Any suggestions? (I understand I may have to provide more information if I want any help, so please ask away...)

Here are some pics

Does your car look like that when parked on flat level land? Are your Koni's grooved?

Yes, the car does look like that on flat ground. The pic was taken on fairly flat ground. That side does sag noticeably more than any other side....No the Koni's aren't groove...they have adjustable dampening

it looks very nice, and will look even better when you figure out why the rear is sagging!

Reverse rake? Thanks for the compliments tho!....I love the new feel of the car. Suspension DEF shoulda been the first upgrade

Avant suspension?

Coilovers FTW

Avant suspension?

Coilovers FTW

The H&R sport springs work for both the Avant and the sedan....same part number, I believe. Also, the other side of the car doesn't sag like that at all...just the driverside corner. Heres a pic of the other side

Any suggestions?

The springs should have a part number on them, make sure they are all the same part number.

Maybe they sent you a race spring on that corner, and the rest are sports?

I like that rear corner.... [:D]

Low Avants FTW.

I checked all the springs before I installed them....All the part numbers match up. H&R sports, according to the H&R website

I would love the ride height of that corner is the REST of the car sat just like that too....SHould I maybe just give it some time for the setup to settle? The setup is used, but they've got very low mileage....could that be a factor in the uneven ride height?
