Ok so i'm due for my 10,000 mile service in about 1000 miles. What does the dealer do at the service and how much did it cost you guys?

it should be free.. seeing you have an 06.. free maintenance until 40,000 miles or 4 years.. 07 models don't have the free maintenance...
i think is just an oil change and fill all the fluids.. adjust the brakes.. etc.. OH!! and you get a car wash!!!
and now a days.. they are reflashing all the cars with the new software..

I'm not sure but I think that if you want them to perform maintenance at 10K then it's chargeable. From what I understand, the free maintenance only applies to service at 5K, 15K, 25K, 35K, and 45K. I could be wrong though.

Every time I turn on my car it says service in 1000 miles or 2XX days. You sure there isn't a 10k service?

like it was mentioned, 5k then 10k after that.

i have the same year car, so it should be the same. i just finished my 15k last week.

did you go in for your 5k?

they did not properly reset your service light. At the 5k adaption values have to be changed in the instrument cluster to change the interval to 10k miles. All you need to do is change your oil/filter and check the car over.

and the free maintenances on an 06' are 5k, 10k, 25k, 35k, and 45k. everything else is on you.

I have an 07 and I get free everything. I don't have to pay for a single thing for my whole lease.

You probably purchased the maintenance package and they just rolled it into your payment.
2007 the Audi warranties changed in regard to services.
The warranty remains at 4 yrs. 50k miles, however, up to 2006 maintenance was also included in the cost of the car and that covers oil/filter changes, wipers, cabin filters, inspections, etc...
For 2007 Audi dropped the maintenance and lowered the cost of the cars.
The maintenance package is still offered, but as an option.

When I had my initial 5k service, the tech did not reset the computer properly either and I was showing a 10k service coming up. However, there isn't a 10k service. It is a 10k INTERVAL service, meaning 10k miles from the initial 5k service.
As stated, the maintenance is at;
5k, 15k, 25k, 35k, etc...

You are correct. 10k is not free.
