So i took out my map sensor to clean it , and i noticed that the 3 wires that go into the connector were disconnected... Now im not sure if i disconnected them or they already were disconnected...

I was just wondering if anyone knows the order of these wires, and which numbers on the connector they go into...

There's 4 numbers and 3 wires, 1,2,3,4 on the connector

I believe the wires are Blue/white, Black and White black....

I just need to know what wire goes into which number on the connector ?

thanx

There should be a red, a red/green, a brown, and a yellow.... I have no idea about your color combo, what year is your car, that might help, year and model.

He is talking boost sensor(map) for the dbw's. Looks like you are giving colors for the "maf".

I will look to see if my connector is still in my car and see what order they are in.

Its the map sensor , NOT MAF , it sits on top of the intercooler

Its for a 2001 Audi A4 1.8T

He knows what it is, he just misread the P for a F.

I will take a look at my car.

Well looks like I am not going to be of any help, my plug was either removed or is tied up with the rest of the sensor plugs that are no longer being used. Sorry, you might want to ask Maxspeed if he can look at his car.

I put the wires back into the connector , but i dont think that fixed my problem.

Should my car start or run at all with the map sensor disconnected ?

no it wouldnt run. even when doing a diode mod. placing the resistor in backwards will cause it not to start.

Well i extended the wires and it seems to be running ok now. Gonna get the chk engine light cleared tomorrow and see how it goes from there

The wires on the MAP werent making a constant contact so i think my MAP readings were not reading

Will keep everyone posted with an update tomorrow ! Thanx for all that helped out !

car is up and boosting !!!

It was just the wiring problem that was giving my car problems. If you guys get an error for map and boost sensor (n75) chk your map sensor wiring its possible that it could be loose.

thanx for all the help , the chk engine light went away on its own too, self cleared itself i guess
