I have a 99 1.8TQM AEB Avant. I recently picked up a LW ECS crank pulley kit. I also own a bentley manual--- I have a few free hours right now and would like to put it on.

Can anyone offer me any help or where to look in the bentley manual?

Thanks [wrench]

Follow one of the timing belt walk throughs. If you're timing belt isn't brand new you might as well do that at the same time.

I installed the ECS pulley a month ago. It had a couple burrs on it that needed to be sanded down. It made no discernible performance difference on my car.

I just bought my car a few month ago--- the guy said it just had a timing belt job done. Is there any way for me to check?

Did he tell you when it was done? What is your mileage?

way to unbalance your engine, while simultaneously wasting money on a part that dosent increase performance!

(p.s. if you have to ask where to look in the book, you might wanna take it to a pro)

He said it was done shortly before I purchased the car in November--- 69k miles. I now have 79k miles on her.

I wouldn't worry about the belt. Did he also do the tensioners and water pump and thermostat?

Maxspeed is right. No reason to install the pulley. I wish I could get a refund on mine.

bummer. that looked like a promising part. too bad about it being benefitless.
