Hey Guys,

Noticed some salt on my carpets. (Good ol' CANADIAN winters) It's hardened now and looks horrible seeing as its white on black carpets.

Any tricks to get it out?

salt is water soluble - so any type of cleaners that is able to pull apart the salt ions will be effective.

Hot water and a wet/dry vac are all you'll need.

I tried the hot water but it dried 'crusty' again

Don't let it dry. Hot water on then brush it around a bit and vac it dry. If it is stubborn use some carpet shampoo. Do this a couple times and the water should be coming out of the carpet clean. The shampoo will leave it nice and soft too.
