Anyone in the LA SoCal area know how to take down the headliner? I need to replace the sharkfin antenna on my roof and of course Audi wants to charge $300. Any insight would be great, or if you can help out for an hour thats great too.

Anyone? Maybe I should have made the title "You hate my rims" then maybe I would get informative answers.

Why are you replacing it? 300.00 is cheap if you see how much is involved in removing it.

This is why

Somone tried to steal the antenna and ended up just ripping the shell off of it instead. So I bought a new antenna and had it painted. Was hoping it would not be too difficult to put on myself, but I hear evil things about removing the headliner

$1000 and 7 hrs. to replace the antenna on my car.
$315 for the antenna.

I made a deal with the service guy though. I am a car wholesaler and am going to auction on Wednesday to pick up a couple cars. I am going to get him what he is looking for and he will eat the cost of installation. Not bad

Yea that works out. Sucks that it costs so much for what seems like a simple job.
