Forge 007 doesn't sound too different from that. You need a cone filter setup for the DV to do that.

yeh i got all that but the thing is the R1 actually flutters a bit the forge doenst i was just curious if thats from the car or if its from the dv itself....

Sounds like a fucking muffled gunshot! I still like my Greddy Type S, but that's nice too.

Where can I get a cone filter set up? would a carbonio intake do it?

i would also like to know what car that is fitted too, sounds nice, my bailey dv30 sounds nothing like that. mine sounds like an old man having a quiet fart. it may go on ebay and i might replace it with the apr r1 if i like it. [:D]

I have The R1. It has been in the car for 2 days and sounds nothing like that, but then again I do not have a cone filter.

Im nearly certain the car in the sound clip is a chipped MkIV gti with a CAI. My friends 20AE gti with GIAC, Evoms intake, and Evoms DV sounds nearly exactly like that. If you reverse a piston style valve...Baileys, 007, Evoms...ect it will produce a more hi pithed sound, very much like the APR valve.

To make your DV sound louder:
1) intake...even the oem DV sounds louder with an intake.
2) chip...more boost = more pressure diverted = louder sound
3. reverse DV...will create a higher pitched noise on piston style DVs.

^^snoop: my Baileys is reversed, it sounds very similar to the APR valve...just not quite as loud as the sound clip. I have carbonio and am boosting 20+psi with GIAC.

^andresito360: a dv is a dv. without an inake and added boost, you won't hear much sound.

reversing the dv could could cause a boost leak if the spring is not stiff.

i thought the reverse DV only worked on the transverse 1.8t's.
