I gonne buy a new turbokit to my 99 Audi A4 1.8T 2WD with APU engine because my K03 is almost dead now,is spitting oil. [wrench]

I have these parts on my car now:

- Rays 2.5" catback exhaust
- BSR Optiflow aircleaner kit with heat shield.
- Turbo XS Bypass valve
- N75J valve
- SPEC Stage 3 clutchkit

I gonne buy these parts:

- 3" MAF house
- 3" Cat replacer
- 440cc Bosch injectors
- ATP manifold

But do you recommand the GT2X or the GTRS turbo on my car with the original ic?
How much BHP does the original ic flow to? 260BHP?

I`l be verry happy for the anwears! [:D] [up]

You can use the stock smic but it will heat soak prematurely and may cause the tune to pull timing due to high iat.

How come I don't see anything about software? How are you going to achieve the desired power output?

Okey. :)
But how much BHP is the SMIC good for?
And is the GT2X or the GTRS best with the smic? GTRS with a lower boost pressure then a GT2X with more boost?

I gonne get a custom chip from a local tuner.

i know the guys at ATP are running the stock sidemount with their GT2X elim B6

its probably good for 250hp at the crank

but really though, it'll only be good for one hard run, then IATs will be to high.

Stick with your stock manifold, use that money to upgrade to a fmic and get the GTRS. The GT2x is a huge waste of time, if your going to go with that might as well just throw on a K04.

Hmm,alright. :)
Then il go for a FMIC. :) The L04 doesn flow to more then 240-250CHP,the GT2X is flowing to 290CHP,so its still a whole lot better then the K04. I have a frined with GT2X,FMIC and all the rest and he has 280CHP,it runs great!

But i have a stock engine with original pistons etc,is it safe to go for the GTRS and FMIC then?
Is it safe to map it to 300CHP then?

And is the ATP manifold better then the original or almost the same?
I think i wants FMIC + the ATP manifold?

Stay away from the GT2X. It is basically a stripped down GT25 without the water cooling that adds serious longevity. The addition of water cooling would make it a much better buy.

The stock intercooler may be good for 250hp but not for long. I run 20 minute track session with a K04 and after a few laps it drops from 17 psi to about 7. That is some serious heat soak and not good for detonation prevention at all.

If i recall correctly it's pretty much safe to run 300awhp on stock internals. So i guess ~380-400CHP is when you should build the motor.

That sounds nice guys, then i order me a FMIC and GTRS turbokit with all the things i need now. ;)
I wants a water cooled turbo,so the pick is easy then. ;)

Bosch 440cc is alright to the GTRS?
And is this FMIC any good?

Don't think the Bosch 440's are available anymore and even if there are, don't use them. You're better off getting s set of genesis 430's or delphi 440's
