I really wanted to go last year, but it crept up on me quick...then when Speed Vision showcased the weekend on Superbikes I had to mark the calender. [race] So....anyone going? Anyone been? Caravan? Tips on places to stay, things to do, etc...

No clue. I was thinking leaving thursday after work so i had friday, sat, and sun to take it all in...then drive back sunday late (yikes) or take monday off if i really had to.

Ever attend in the past? I have no clue where to stay, where to go, what to see/do, etc...

Hey guys. I’m new to SoCal and to the forum, so let me start by saying hello. I drive an ASP B5 Avant and I’m an avid motorcycle and race fan.

Last year my buddy and I flew out and drove up; it was a blast. The drive back Sunday night after the races was not bad at all last year. We are planning to head up this year as well, but this time in an S4. That is, assuming UPS locates the tickets! I’m thinking we will probably drive up on Thursday late-morning/mid-day so we can grab dinner in Monterey.

Hotels space will be very limited at this point; I would immediately start looking for rooms in Monterey or Salinas. Be prepared for rates around $300 per night.

It would be bitchin if we could rent out a house for the weekend and pack in a bunch of Audi peeps...caravan up and a GTG at the house! Ha!

my buddies and i are probably going to trailer the bikes up there and ride in or what not.... but if you havent gotten your ticket better get em fast or else you would have to buy them from people slanging them for 200-400 more lol... im not worries about hotel room cuz ima sleep in the truck ahahha... anyways hope to see you guys up there...

Id love to...but im a poser at the moment. Been craving a Ducati Monster or Triumph Speed Triple, but im too much of a pussy (afraid ill really hurt/kill myself)...too many shitty drivers out there.

Nevertheless, I wanna make this trip happen. If any of you guys wanna go in a house/cottage/hotel or something lemme know. Still need to find tickets too...

i got general admission and pad lock and grand stands for $161 not including food and living.... but it should be fun.. im deff going to haul my bike up and go carve some canyons..... ahhah we should get a AZ bike meet that be interesting. ahhaha im always around westminster, fv, costa mesa area ........

its a 06 i use to go to bravo burger but then my crew stoped going and started to ride out to green river in corona stunt show every wednesday its pretty cool and then after a few months of that it got old and now we i just carv canyons ....

i carv canyons.. ive been to a few track days... its really hurting my wallet dam tires and everything else my fav track would have to be big track of willow... so much fun out of last corner just full throtle onto the front straight...

you will be able to walk around the track "aka nose bleed seats" if your a photog just bring a 100-400 L and you should be good anywhere..... anyways its not that bad i walked around last year and it was fine just alot of people crowding the shade and the corners which sucked cuz i was stuck behind two mo-cows grazing the grass and they would not budge......

i got the 2 day gen pass, padock pass Aka Pits, and i got tickets for grandstands seating start finish + huge jumbo screen to watch the rest of the race.. not sure if i want to stay at start finish i might sell my ticket when i get up there...

delete- i hear ya bout the tires man, i've seen your crew at bravo and then the next night at advanced kawasaki. nice bikes in the crew. when you do get some tires let me know, i don't know about canyons now, fiance told me yesterday that she was watching a thing on the news about cops hanging out there now to catch the bikes and the cars in the canyons. they said they're not giving any warnings and just taking people to jail. kinda wack but i people have been complaining. i guess it was a special on that. i'll just save it for the track. just got some rearsets too so all i need now is to get to the track!

yeah me and my buddy started to go up the rear also. too many rocks though! ha but it's still fun. I have an 07 zx6. this thing is totally different than the 06 636. handles like a mofo! that's a rip off over at mission. i got my 06 at otd motorsports, was like 8999 otd. then i sold that and got my 07 there for like 9500 otd. nice place to go, they had a ton of gixxers there also, but like always are sold out real quick.

i'll hit you up whenever i hit up bravo again. it's gettin hot out.

yo.... moto gp was fun and all but a huge dissapointment.... cant belive hopper and hayden touched....... two us riders screwed.... rossi did ok... stoner just smoked ass..... but other then that not much competition........ and for those who i called.. sorry i didnt call you back to meet up with you.... it would have been hard anyways.. way too many people...... left at 4 and just got home..... going 65 in a truck with a trailer and 3 bikes.... fun.. cant wait till next year indionapolis here i come.....

yeah i didn't know they were going to air it on fox either. that does suck, but it was a pretty good race. i found the supersport one more exciting. i won't say anything if you haven't watched it yet.

we rode up to diablo mtn in danville super fun once we got to the top we could see the goldengate bridge and parts of nevada ... pretty crazy........ worth stoping by if your going past danville...

Ok, my tivo did catch the superbike race too...great 3-way battle for 3rd (we all know who always comes in 1st/2nd).
